Julie Stanton is a young woman who was formerly betrothed to Jeffrey Stanton.  She is naive, gullible, trusting, optimistic, and very pregnant.  She now lives against her will in the town of Shady Brook, where she is assigned to marry resident Rusty Johnson.

History

Julie Forneburg was born in 1982.  He was always a simple man, working as a construction worker and caring mostly about his family.  Having never really been away from home, tended to be naive and trusting with little real world experience.

One evening in 2004, she met Jeffrey Stanton at a bar, and the two quickly entered a relationship.  After Julie accidentally became pregnant, the two decided to get married as soon as the baby was born.  Julie decided to take on Jeffrey's surname before their marriage to avoid any embarrassment associated with an unwed pregnant woman.

Shady Brook

In 2005, when Julie was nearly nine months pregnant, she and Jeffrey Stanton began a road trip to visit her mother, a nurse, who was to help with the baby's delivery.  On their way, they passed through Shady Brook when their truck broke down, forcing the couple to stay in small town for a couple of hours.  During that time, they met many of the townsfolk, who pressured the couple to stay the night despite the fact that their truck only took a couple of hours to fix.

In the evening of their stay, Jeffrey was shot in their motel room by town resident Sue Ann Whiteman, and Julie was kidnapped and later forced to participate in the town's pagan activities alongside her assigned mate, Rusty Johnson.
